Display the Floating Bar on the current page - instead of new tab #15

Would be great to not have to create new tab just to search. If the extension could run on the existing page, that would be great.

That would be pretty cool. The Super URL Bar has an option to "Always open websites in a new tab when using url bar":

This sounds like it would be similar, with some minor changes:

  • Pressing Ctrl+T wouldn't immediately spawn a new tab, but just focus the URL bar with a clean input
  • Typing anything in and hitting Enter would open the URL in a new tab

Otherwise:

  • Simply focusing the URL bar by clicking on it or hitting the shortcut (default: F6) would simply change the current tab

Then it would function almost like a Command Palette.

Speaking of which, a Command Palette would be a pretty awesome addition to Zen, but that's for another repo 😅
