device state visualization only updates after browser refresh

This bug references the screenshots below using Google Chrome on Mac OS X.

When I first fire up the Zetta browser, navigate to the device#show page and click the at button, the device state changes from waiting to writing to parsing and back to waiting. But the state visualization never changes. It is always the same color and shows waiting

After I refresh the page command+r and then hit the at button everything works as expected with the state changing in the visualization.
