Can't get alpha channel output

How do you get the alpha output? I have a Photoshop file with an alpha channel, but the alpha_output only outputs a blank mask.

Oh, I thought it meant a real alpha channel output. If I just make some transparency in a layer, like your example, it will output that fine. But if my Photoshop file has a true alpha channel, that doesn't output, but just shows black.

Seems like Adobe does not provide APIs to get contents of one specific channel.

This issue will keep open to see if Adobe will provide it later
