There are many things to explore after rolling out:

  • First time player experience
  • Desktop experience (rather than a copy of the Android view)
  • Variant database & rules
  • Promoted game (point all players looking for a game towards one game to have it fill quickly)
  • Filter game search (e.g. by variant)
  • Text based order (optional)
    - Visual style that non-SC territories of which all bordering territories are of one color, it also becomes that colour (so you get the feeling you really conquer the map)
  • Sandbox game access from side menu & "back" in sandbox mode

I'd like to make one suggestion for the desktop experience that could be a very quick win: on larger (wider) screens, display the chat side-by-side with the map. (Basically, of the three tabs today -- map, chat, orders -- only chat & orders stay in tabbed format, and map is always visible.) That would be a huge improvement already.

This is planned, but it represents a significant effort. Since the only UX expert we have is @JorenC, it won't happen until he has the time and energy, or someone else steps up and helps out.
