If enabled maps can be build where the ways can cross without cheating.
Also one is able to build (short) race maps with more then one lap to win.

note: I'm not sure why here was -2as default, but with -1 I didn't recognized a difference with and without teams.

I am against that change, it removes some predictability from DDRacing, could lead to some frustration if you're at the finish line and missed a 'strict checkpoint' tile because the mapper didn't choose an appropiate place.

Me too if a mapper wants to create a fool proof map, he can without
strict check points

There are two ways I thought about:

  1. An option tile which enables strict checkpoints, so if a map is designed for strict checkpoints other hosters don't have to care about setting the sv_ option and the map will run as expected. (the sv_ option should be removed then)
  2. Broadcast/chat message when a checkpoint is missed.

If at all I would prefer 1.

I am for. This can be usefull for map like FWYS by ama (ddracemax). OFC it should be an option.

Can't you use doors for that purpose?

hmm i dont think ddmax will be interested in this kind of stuff

why ?

answer is simple tooo much checking
mappers just create the stuff and just want to release the map (with lots lots lots of bugs and cheats) so this feature would be one more thing for map testers to check and to think about. As an example they must predict if cheat on map won't be found in future couse it was used wrong.

So if it will be added then i might discuss with other admins a rule that its not allowed to use (sorry but many mappers are kids and this kind of features might only cause more problems than needed - but ofcourse please proove me im wrong im open to any discussion - i was thinking about this kind of stuff in the past how great it would be but now hmmm im not sure)

heinrich5991 -> hum, yes, but there is problem if 2 groups are playing in team 0.
Group A can open/close doors for Group B.
