+
+As you might know, I have started planning next year's seminars.
+So, in the following file, you will find the speakers for the coming year.
+If you have any suggestions for speakers you would like to invite,
+please add them to the list

+In the following part of the email, you will find the message for facebook and a todo list.
+It would be nice to meet up for 20 minutes on Thursday or Friday morning
+to talk about further details with regard to the organisation of the seminar.

+MESSAGE FOR FACEBOOK
+
+Science Seminars of the Mexican Society 2018
+
+It has been great catching up with everyone regularly during our science
+seminars in 2017 where we have had brilliant speakers from diverse areas and
+different topics and interesting discussions and questions.
+
+This time we want to announce the speakers for 2018 in the attached poster
+and available here: https://mexicansocietyuob.github.io/seminars/seminars/talks/talks2018/
+
+We invite anyone to assist and be part of the speakers and the audience
+where we create a friendly environment and share knowledge.
+So, if you have a conference presentation coming up, or are
+working on a paper or other research idea you would like to give a
+presentation on and get feedback about, please feel free to volunteer
+to give a talk to our friendly audience!
+
+Additionally, we are encouraging the scientific community to work towards
+a reproducible and open science where anyone, anywhere can get the
+benefits of science.
+
+Help us to circulate the seminar series of the Mexican society for 2018.
+

+
+- [ ] Attendance to the presentations will be monitored and every term, prizes will be
+given for best presentation.

+- [ ] The 2-3 volunteers will chair the seminar sessions, take attendance,
+gather feedback and help in nominating researchers for prizes.

+- [ ] Advertise the seminar via talks@bham to get a wider audience
+
+- [ ] Contact mexgrocer for the prizes for the best presentation, Mexican
+snacks and a present for the monthly speaker.

+## OUTCOMES

+- [x] Dates for speakers have been negotiated
+- [x] For future seminars, there will be a record of attendance to have some 
+statistics!
+
+NOTES: Due to the limited budget of the Mexican Society, the free Mexican snacks, gifts 
+and best presentation for speakers have been postponed for future events. 
+However, a proposal to get some funding for such requirements will be submitted to the guild on May 2018.
+
