Welcome to the SciNet wiki!

Per #2, we're going to focus on null-results and replications. Not sure where else to toss this info, so feel free to reorganize.

Proposed Features

This is completely open to discussion. I've just taken a pass on it.

MVP

  1. Referencing of articles already published elsewhere along with metadata (authors, institution, tags, etc)
  2. Citation parsing and dependency tracking based on citations
  3. Article hosting
  4. Plain-text and tag-based searching
  5. Recognition and tracking of replication studies - Replication studies will be identified by tags determined by the authors
  6. Categorization of articles, i.e. medical, physics, etc
  7. Publishing guidelines appropriate for each category
  8. Articles and authors are tied to institutions throughout time, such that if an author publishes one article at institution A and another at institution B, both the article and author are correctly tied to the institution at the time of the articles

Phase 1

  1. Peer reviewing system
  2. Article analytics

Phase 2

  1. News feed system
  2. API and documentation to allow third-party scraping of data

Undecided features

  1. Discussion
