  • build-in cast full support (searching by appearance)
  • super fast (all data is stored in Kodi database after scanning library)

cons:

  • very long initial setup (scanning big collections)
  • series info wont update after being added to library (have to re-add series)
  • no multi-file support (you add first files that is linked to episode)
  • no unrecognized files support
  • no filter support
  • no group support
  • static picture for series (re-add series or manually add new picture)
  • need to scan Library each time you add new series
  • until v19 you need to clean library manually when removing plugin source (https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/pull/15981)
