Adding SrTemplate is basically a text template system focused on performance and simplicity, with good error handling, very portable and as few dependencies as possible.
I know it is used in production in interesting projects as a cartero.
It has an online playground to test the parser system with a time counter system to analyze the performance.
(I am the author and it is active and for now plans to remain so)
