@thesamesam What do you mean exactly, i.e. this PR already contains a gobject-introspection-common bump, although very misleadingly not stated in the title: |
@thesamesam thumbs up please if one commit per package is the way to go for future PRs |
You should always be doing one commit per package, yes. |

I don't see a non-development release of `glib-networking` tagged and glibmm was only tagged a few days ago. I don't see a need to include those in this PR.

Oh I see. It would be nice to see the whole glib/gobject family be the same version in ::gentoo
|
It doesn't really work that way, though. They're not released at the same time. Just roughly around the same time (within a month or so usually). Sometimes not at all for e.g. glib-networking IIRC (often ends up skipping a release I think). |
Merged but I had to fix two issues:
Thanks! |
This is responsible for various "error: unknown child element doc:format in repository" bugs. https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=952806 I had the same issue with dev-libs/libgit2-glib (no open bug for that issue yet). So more packages with the same error will pop up with future tinderbox runs. Downgrading dev-libs/gobject-introspection-1.84.0 to 1.82.0-r2 fixed the issue for me. Those are the relevant upstream changes: @thesamesam : maybe consider masking version 1.84.0? |
@MeisterP thabks, can you file a bug with that, then when I'm back at the computer I'll mask? |
