1. Superficial electromyography Database (EMG), for analysis in lower limb
Abstract: This database contains 11 samples of subject with some abnormality in the knee previously diagnostic and 11 with normality on them. These data was collected with the equipment Biometrics DataLOG MWX8 electromiography and goniometry.
Database characteristics Time-Series Number of samples 22 Area CS / Engineering

3. Database information:
|
||
3.1. Protocol: | ||
22 male subjects , 11 with different abnormalities in the knee previously diagnostic. In 3 different exercises for analisys in muscular behavior in relation with the knee, march, extensin of the leg from sit position and flexion of the knee stand up.
The acquisition process was made with 4 electrodes on following muscles(vastus internus, semitendinosus, biceps femoris and rectus femoris) and goniomtry equipment on the knee.
3.2. Instrumentation | ||
We use datalog MWX8 de la compaa Biometrics, 8 analog channels and 4 digital, 4 for SEMG samples and 1 for gonimetry, acquired directly from equipment MWX8 on internal memory and transmited on real time to software Datalog on computer through bluetooth, 14 bits of resolution and frecuency sample of 1000Hz.
3.3. Data configuration:
4 electrodes for each data serie, channel (1 to 4). each set contains 3 to 5 repetitions of each exercise proposed.
|
||
4. Information attribute
Each file contains 5 columns, in this way:
Segment Leg | ||
Channel Ch1 Ch2 Ch3 Ch4 Ch5
Muscle RF BF VM ST FX | ||
Column 0 1 2 3 4 | ||
|
||
Segment: defines the body part where the data are taken..
Channel: corresponds to the electrode attached to a muscle.
Muscle: corresponds to the muscle being measured.
RF: rectus femoris. | ||
BF: biceps femoris. | ||
VM: vastus internus. | ||
ST: semitendinosus. | ||
FX: knee flexion. | ||
|

Channel 1: 'RF', 15300 values, engineering units: mV, no filters.
Channel 2: 'BF', 15300 values, engineering units: mV, no filters.
Channel 3: 'VM', 15300 values, engineering units: mV, no filters.
Channel 4: 'ST', 15300 values, engineering units: mV, no filters.
Channel 5: 'FX', 765 values, engineering units: deg, no filters, extrapolated from 50 to 1000 samples per second.to 1000 samples per second.
|
||
7. Number of classes: | ||
Database contains 22 samples 11 normal and 11 with some patology on knee, each patient has 3 different kind of samples: march, extensin of the leg from sit position and flexion of the knee stand up.
8. Others: | ||
4 folders una A_LOG, A_TXT, N_LOG Y N_TXT .
Folder _log contain data in .log format, can be analysed from datalog software by Biometrics.
Folder _txt contain data SEMG in columns with headers.
