IGN and Ciril Group are delighted to invite you to an iTowns Hackathon on March 13-14, 2025 at the french National Institute of Geography (IGN) in Saint Mandé, France.

These two days will be an opportunity to discuss, program, test and learn - and above all, have a great time together! Book your place on this wiki!

🚀 Project Plans

We have some ideas for this hackaton, but feel free to propose a topic of your own!

Here are the current subjects :

• Improving support for the Mapbox Vector Tile and Style specification (performance and visual alike)
• Support for the Mapbox RGB terrain format
• Experimenting with 2D vector accelerated rendering
• Enhancing TMS support in planar view: GitHub issue #2290
• Migration to TypeScript (there is a lot of work here ;))
• Experimenting with "proof of concepts" with your data and use cases
