GammaResTool

CMSSW install for Timing:

cmsrel CMSSW_13_0_7 ( or current CMSSW production version ) cd CMSSW_13_0_7/src cmsenv git cms-init

( make sure the analysis package is cloned into its own folder inside scr/ example( timing/timing/ ) ) ( yes .. its required by CMSSW ) ( initial scram b -j8 must be in src/ ? after maybe scram-ed from plugins/ or test/ )

mkdir GammaResTool cd GammaResTool/ git clone https://github.com/jking79/GammaResTool.git cd ../ scram b -j 8

declare class in intial setup( do once )

KUCMSTimeCalibration theCali;

To use calibration :

Set tag to use : ( default EG_EOY_MINI )
    theCali.setTag("EG_EOY_MINI");
To get calibration :
    calibration = theCali.getCalibration( rechitID, run );
To apply calibration subtract from rechit time :
    calibratedtime = rechittime - calibration;

    - or -

Set tag to use : ( default EG_EOY_MINI )
    theCali.setTag("EG_EOY_MINI");
To get calibrated time :
    calibratedtime = theCali.getCalibTime( rechittime, rechitID, run );

To use smearing :

Set tag to use : ( default EG300202_DYF17 )
    theCali.setSmearTag("EG300202_DYF17");
To get smeared time :
    smearedTime = theCali.getSmearedTime( rechitTime, rechitAmplitude );
