Known Problems

There are some things that are just unfixable at this time due to them being upstream bugs or being cause by other things out of my control. Here's a compiled list of things that are bonked.

Flickering

In some cases it may occur that the desktop starts flickering after using the hello window decoration. This is not caused by hello and appears in other Breeze derived themes as well. More info can be found in the ongoing discussion here: https://github.com/n4n0GH/hello/issues/19

Cause

The cause for this is not perfectly reproducable and occurs mostly on Intel and Nvidia GPUs in some combinations with certain compositing settings.

Solution

Sometimes a simple log-out and log-in will fix it, sometimes a restart of KWin and Plasma (kwin_x11 --replace & & plasmashell --replace &) may do the trick, sometimes resizing a window works, sometimes playing around with compositor and GPU/display settings fixes the flickering. Sometimes you're just out of luck. Your mileage may vary greatly with this bug.
