There are three main things that define the area where the model produces values in the output layers:
* Results are limited to the area covered by the Watersheds vector input.
* Results can only be calculated in the pixels where *all* of the input rasters have valid values. If any input raster has the value NoData in a pixel, then the result will also be NoData in that pixel.
* Results dependent on distance to the stream network (such as NDR and other results that are based on it), are only calculated for pixels that drain to a stream.

NDR and several other model outputs are defined in terms of distance to stream (:math:`d_i`). Therefore, these outputs are only defined for pixels that drain to a stream on the map (and so are within the streams' watershed). Pixels that do not drain to any stream will have nodata in these outputs. The affected output files are: **d_dn.tif**, **dist_to_channel.tif**, **ic_factor.tif**, **ndr_n.tif**, **ndr_p.tif**, **sub_ndr_n.tif**, **n_surface_export.tif**, **n_subsurface_export.tif**, **n_total_export.tif**, and **p_surface_export.tif**.

If you see areas of nodata in these outputs that can't be explained by missing data in the inputs, it is likely because they are not hydrologically connected to a stream on the map. See the :ref:`SDR defined area section <sdr_defined_area>` for information on identifying and fixing this problem.
