This worked for us, replicating pretty much 1:1 what is done in
engine_nunjucks:https://github.com/pattern-lab/patternlab-node/blob/master/packages/engine-nunjucks/lib/engine_nunjucks.js#L32
Additionally needs a file like the following in the project root (next to
patternlab-config.json) if you wish to add your own configuration to Handlebars (e.g. helpers)https://gist.github.com/julrich/3bbef9bd8af9fabd78f54caa25ee5d6c
