Model
To have a visual demonstration of our working system, we build a model of our window. It is the step before thinking about driving a real one with its mechanisms. Here we listed the few things you need
##Things you need
- aluminium profile rail
- glass pane (acryl would be better)
- servomotor
- counterbalance
- 2 x butt hinges
- glass or hot glue
- small screws
- 1 x cable strap
- 1 x paper-clip
##Put it together First you cut the profile rail and put it together with small screws. This way you get your frame to which you now may add the counterbalance (it keeps the whole model from falling to one side while opening the window). Now you screw the butt hinges to the frame and glue the pane (e.g. from a picture frame) on them since drilling through a glass pane is not that easy. Afterwards the servomotor can be screwed to the frame. To have a fixed-point at the pane, the head of a small cable strap is glued to it. For a connection of the arm of the servomotor with the pane, a paper-clip is good. You can bring it into the shape of a crank and hook the one end on the arm of the motor and the other on the head of the cable strap.
