I'm getting the error shown in issue xanderdeseyn#166 , this change seems to fix it.

@xanderdeseyn I am currently getting this error in my code, and I cannot move on without this issue being resolved. If you would be able to merge this pull request to fix the issue, that would be amazing. Thank you |

This would be great to merge, as I'm also running into this error and it is a simple fix. Currently, I'm using patch-package to get around this, but it's not ideal. |

Please merge this, it is just a simple change and is mandatory to work with typescript. Just like mention @PicoPlanetDev currently the only work-around is patch-package |

@xanderdeseyn this fix does work if I implement it locally. Please merge the PR, i'd like to avoid forking the repo for this |
