The core of the Sudokube project is located in the repository epfldata/sudokube.
See sudokube/epfldata/README.md.
The frontend uses Node.js and npm. To install them on the machine, see https://nodejs.org/en/download/package-manager.
After cloning this repository, from the root of the web frontend, run the following to install dependencies and generate code (based on gRPC definitions, which are used to communicate with the backend service).
npm install
-
Run the backend server
In the command line, from the root directory of the sudokube repository,
-
Checkout the "demo" branch
git checkout demo
-
Run
sbt "runMain frontend.service.SudokubeServer"
The backend should then be hosted at localhost:8081.
-
-
Run the frontend
With the backend running, from the root directory of the frontend, run
npm start
The frontend should then be hosted at localhost:3000 which you can visit in the browser to start exploring.
