Intercourt trust is a directed graph connecting courts.

A court may trust another court directly (have an edge in that graph) or indirectly.

Cycles of trust are allowed. A court may even trust itself (however it does not make sense).

If a court A directly or indirectly trusts court B, it is possible:

  • convert (it is called "intercourt transfer") tokens of court B into tokens of court A (the conversion is free, except of gas cost and the conversion API requires to specify a path in the directed graph)

  • minting by court B tokens for court A

Use cases

Supreme court

District courts may trust the supreme court.

Exchanges

A court can be controlled by an "exchange" smart contract, allowing to mint the court's tokens on receipt of some other token.

Then another court may trust an exchange court, allowing the exchange to mint tokens for it.
