Chrome says: Failed - Virus detected

When you download Pop Pixie with Google Chrome, Windows Defender may incorrectly flag Pop Pixie as a virus and prevent Chrome from downloading it. To fix this, follow these instructions to tell Windows Defender that Pop Pixie is safe. If this doesn't work, try temporarily disabling your antivirus.

1. Go to Windows Security > Virus & threat protection

Use to Start Menu to open Windows Security and click on Virus & threat protection in the sidebar. Do not click "Start actions" yet.

Type Windows Security into the search bar in the Start Menu and open Windows Security Click on Virus & threat protection in the sidebar

2. Allow on device

Under Current threats, click on the most recent threat to show the list of available actions. Select Allow on device and click Start actions.

3. Try to download Pop Pixie again

You may need to download Pop Pixie again before it will appear in your Downloads folder. Download Pop Pixie again and try to open it.

At this point, Windows may tell you that Pop Pixie is a malicious file. If this happens, follow these instructions to run Pop Pixie anyway.
